Decluttering your Home the Easy Way

 In Storage

Every person has their own way of tidying their home. They also have varied allocated time for decluttering which could affect how the result would look like, the less time you have for the task then the least you can clean up. This should not actually be what people should be worried about. They can actually declutter in as little as 30 minutes and still come out with a very neat home. It’s the frequency that matters. When you tidy your home for at least 30 minutes every day, you should not be worried about having an unorganized house by the end of the week. Here are a few of our recommendations to make decluttering easier for you:

Create a list
Start out by creating a list. This list should contain the following:
• What needs to be decluttered
• Areas that needs to be decluttered
• Your estimated time for each area
Following the list is up to you but if you only have 30 minutes each day, then we suggests that you stick to only one area for a day or week.

One trash bag at a time
The easiest way to make sure that you get to clean up the fastest is by grabbing a trash bag and going around the area and simply putting all the trash into the bag. Simple, right?!

One item a day
This can be the hardest for you to do but if you are serious about making sure that your home is clutter free, then you better push yourself into giving away an item each day. You can do this for a week each month or every 2 months.

The closet hanger experiment
To know which clothes in your closet are not often used. Put all your clothes hanger in reverse direction. Once you had worn them, hand them facing the right direction. After a few months, say 6 months, evaluate how your closet looks and you will see how much clothes you don’t actually wear.
