Packing and Storage For The Adventure Of A Lifetime
Mark and his four-legged best friend, white shepherd Mya, are embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. And before they pack their backpacks and head off for North America – there is some serious household packing to do!
With plans to travel overland across Canada and the USA, from Whistler to Fernie, Telluride to Miami and Montreal to San Diego – there is a lot of ground to cover. And to make the most of the experience, a lot of time is needed to explore each destination; creating memories and building new friendships, furry and human, along the way.
Looking For Long Term Travel Storage
Mark made the decision to place all of his worldly possessions (except Mya of course!) into storage for the duration of his trip. He was looking for somewhere secure to store his belongings while he was away. He needed a long term storage option, and one that gave him flexibility to pack when he needed to, around everything else that needed to be sorted before heading off on his holiday. PLUS the flexibility to extend, or shorten, his storage period if needed.
He also needed a storage solution that came to him. Many of us will know how hectic everything gets when planning for a long term holiday. So much running around to do! Mark was looking for a storage option that meant he didn’t have to worry about multiple trips in the car between home and a conventional storage locker. And didn’t want to worry about the additional cost of hiring trucks and movers to pack, move then store his possessions.
Problem solved … PODS. Portable, temporary and flexible long-term offsite storage.
We delivered one large PODS container to Mark on Friday morning. With the enlisted help from two- and four-legged friends, the packing was sorted over the weekend. Everything from kayaks to camping gear, and socks to the TV fit perfectly.
Podzilla collected the container on Monday morning. It is now safely stored at one of our storage centres, ready for Mark and Mya when they return home.

So right about now, with everything safely packed away and stored at a PODS storage centre, Mark and Mya should be exploring the Canadian city of Whistler.

Mark is a genuine Aussie guy from Melbourne. Mya is a beautiful five year old purebred white shepherd. A strong family influence saw Mark experience and enjoy the outdoors from an early age. When Mya came into his life, at only 8 weeks old, he introduced her to the same adventures, and the two, now inseparable, have enjoyed exploring and outdoor adventures ever since.
Taking inspiration from Kelly Lund and Loki the Wolf Dog and Alex Borusk and Peanut the Adventure Pup, Mark and Mya are sharing their love of the outdoors together on this epic adventure. One of Mark’s goals is to share their journey with others with the view to show people that they don’t need to leave their furry best friend at home … that they can adventure together.
Mark also aims to raise support for dog rescue organisations around the world, so more people and their canine companions can live with the connection and support that they do.
