PODS Containers Improve Customer Service for North Sails
Good businesses are always looking for ways to better serve their customers. When global sail making company North Sails discovered the PODS system, they quickly saw an opportunity to provide a more secure and flexible solution to storing large sails in need of repair.
“Until we discovered PODS our clients were leaving the sails on their boats or dropping them off at the factory,” said Mark Bradford, Loft Manager for North Sails. “This wasn’t ideal as it wasn’t secure or particularly convenient. Now our clients are able to drop their sails in the PODS Container and pick them up at any time of the day or night by using a special access code.
“Our clients love it. It means when they go sailing their sail is back and ready for action!
“We are very grateful to the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron who were already using the PODS Containers for other purposes and helped us see the benefits,” says Mark.
Implementing the PODS solution has enabled North Sails to grow their business. It is a better business because it is more efficient, more secure and provides greater flexibility for their clients.
“One of the greatest advantages of the PODS Containers from our point of view is their size. Their length specifically solved our problem of storing long sails” says Mark.
Mark believes the PODS system is the beginning of people looking at things differently. “There are so many ways to use a PODS Container. You just have to use your imagination. For us it has provided a storage solution, but others are using them as office spaces and even turning them into cafés. Who knows what will be next?”
